About Gatwick Airport

Gatwick Airport is said to be the 2nd largest airport in The United Kingdom, and serves over 200 destinations worldwide. Passengers from over 90 countries – 34 million passengers per year, to be exact – make their ways to and from Gatwick on a yearly basis. In Airport terminology, Gatwick is known as LGW by airport code.

Gatwick is located in West Sussex, about 28 miles south of London. With lots of public transit options nearby, and 30 minutes away from major tourist attractions, Gatwick is situated in a prime location. The Airport is owned and operated by Global Infrastructure Partners, otherwise known as GIP. They acquired the property in 2009 for £1.51 Billion from BAA.

Gatwick originally started out as a small flying enthusiast club known as the ‘Surrey Aero Club’ back in 1930. After four years, Gatwick finally became licensed to fly commercial aircraft. There was originally only one passenger terminal. In 1962, the single terminal doubled in size with two new pier add-ons. In 1952, the Government intended to make Gatwick an alternate airport to Heathrow. Much history has evolved since those days, and now Gatwick incredibly stands at the 2nd largest airport in The UK accounting for thousands of Gatwick jobs.

I am looking for a new job and new opportunities. I live in the UK 5 years already and I can’t imagine myself living anywhere else now.
I work for Caffe Nero at Gatwick Railstation. It is my first job and since I join CN I love customer service and meeting and talking with people. I have been fully trained how to provide first class service standards, how to deal with complaints and how to work under pressure.
Anyways, I decide is time for changes and it is time to start something new in my live.
Just because I love Gatwick Airport as it’s a place with huge opportunities for young people and with great customer services standards I would like to stay at airport community and I would like to continue my work at this airport.
In that case could I ask, to keep me updated with any customer services jobs available at Gatwick?
I would be really grateful for giving me a chance of further developing and expending my own experience with customer service.
    Thank you.
    Katarzyna Pietrzyk.
